COMPANY INFORMATION

D’REKA Group of Companies consists of the parent company, D’REKA BATIK SENDIRIAN BERHAD and a member company D’REKA HOLIDAYS (M) SENDIRIAN BERHAD. The nucleus of the parent company was formed in 1986 and was later incorporated in 1998. The parent company deals in interior designing, production of exclusive contemporary batik and other associated products as its main function, besides consolidating the activities of D’REKA Group of Companies. The member company is involved in the tourism sector and plays a supporting role to complement the efforts of the parent company. D’REKA Group of Companies is in the process of perfecting its corporate identity in order to propel the Group of Companies towards the Group’s objectives, besides seeking new market opportunities.

The Group’s present thrust is to penetrate the local and foreign market for the sale the Group’s products. The experience of D’REKA BATIK SENDIRIAN BERHAD for more than two decades in the batik industry and interior designing will be put into good use and the opportunities provided by the member company will be exploited to its maximum. The Group will also look into the possibility of having a working relationship with local and foreign companies for mutual benefit.

EMERGE OF EXCLUSIVE CONTEMPORARY BATIK

Batik, which used to be the daily attire of the older generation in the rules areas, had come to town and was well received by people from all walks of life. The changing lifestyles and exposure to current world fashion had brought changes to its quality, appearance, designs and colours, which deviated from the original traditional batik.

D’REKA BATIK SENDIRIAN BERHAD had experimented on re-arrangement of the motifs of the traditional batik, by spacing out the motifs to cover the whole piece of material or the motifs are arranged in such a manner to portray its own theme. New designs are also being introduced by our designers regularly, thus adding to our inventory of exclusive designs.

The choice of bright colours had added glitter and glamour to what used to be dull and dark colours of the traditional batik. Customers can pick their choice of design from the numerous designs available in our inventory, and choose the colours they wish for their exclusive piece of contemporary batik. They can choose from the spectrum of colours available or natural colours that we can create for them.

Gone are the days of strictly cotton batik. Today, customers have the choice of any material available in the market to have their exclusive batik printed on the material of their choice.

With the advancement technology, there is a possibility in the near future customers can have their exclusive contemporary batik custom-made by themselves. Customers just choose the design to be painted with and choose the material they are comfortable with. The rest, leave it to technology to play its role. Customers are assured that the finished product will meet their satisfaction. In other words, customers will be given the freedom to create their own piece of exclusive contemporary batik, we only help to make it happen.
